Position Summary:
Population Health Performance Management is a team of passionate people who strive to provide solutions to the healthcare industry's most current and complex challenges. The Performance Management Team works with clients in a consultative manner to understand their business needs and strategy, how our clients use our tools, and identify gaps. Performance Management team members are industry and subject matter experts who can work with senior leadership to develop a product strategy to fill these gaps, and as well as coordinate with data operations and development to execute on our strategy through product enhancements and new tool development. We are an expanding team, having evolved from a start-up acquired by athena to a division that is now helping to drive the company's growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
50% Client Performance Management
Collaborates with technical and analytical resources to deliver complex solutions to ad-hoc client requests and custom reports, and identify opportunities for product enhancements
Define and implement key client performance management metrics that drive adoption of key population health activities across athena client base by coordinating with clients and client-facing team members
Mentor & train direct reports and coach clients on achieving population health objectives using athena service offerings
40% Become a go-to resource for analysis and in-depth understanding of value based contracting and claims (and other source) data
Support Account Management activities as a technical resource and subject matter expert, specifically related to value based payment models including bundled payments
Stay current with industry research, trends, and competitive solutions
Provide support and guidance to the Analytics team
Proactively identify, research, and resolve data issues that impact client success

Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
Healthcare related industry experience, with knowledge of healthcare claim data and value-based contracts
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
Strong computer literacy and the comfort, ability, and desire to further advance technically
Experience with a relational database; SQL preferred
Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience and desire to manage direct reports and provide mentorship and career pathing

Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a face paced environment, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts to manager
Ability to be flexible and change with environment, industry, and business demands
Possible travel required, predicting less than 20%, but time may vary

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
